The habit of those who nibble their nails and cuticles, till the extend of even bleeding is called onychophagia! To prevent biting of nails, put a transparent base/top coat and it will prevent biting due to its taste and smell.
If you have this habit, do try to change! I guess everyone loves pretty nails, no?
