Merry Belated Christmas!

Hey guys Merry Belated Christmas.
This was my Christmas Nails weeks ago. Really sorry i've been too busy having too much stuff catching up on me that I have barely enough time for myself.

P.s. Happy New Year guys!!! I expect this year to be a great one.
I wanna thank like everyone for supporting my nail blog so far ever since i started it up.
And I love you guys so very much! I will try to do up videos and more tutorials for all of you guys.
Its a new year and Nailstonic would be better in 2012!!!

Anyway,
This design was inspired from Justin Bieber's Mistletoe Video!
It just struck me that I wanted to do something like that...

So on the thumb its a mistletoe.
Index finger is a candy cane
Middle finger is a christmas tree!! Which i really love !!
Ring finger is Santa of course.
And lastly i couldn't think what to put on my tiny finger so i left it blank...

I hope you guys like it.
P.s. Feel free to email me at cutexnailz@gmail.com if you want me to do any nail designs/tutorial etc.
And do keep your eyes peeled cause i promise to update more often.
Thanks guyzzzz

Comparison Greens

Left to right: Opi's Mermaid Tears, Essie's Mint Candy Apple, Faceshop's GR503, Opi's Mermaid Tears

Today i'm doing a comparison of the above polishes.
Actually Essie's and Faceshop's colour is very similar in real but the price varies around SGD$5-6.
But i love all the different tones of greens.
What do you guys think?
And any suggestions of nail arts for me to do??

With a little Fairy Dust

This was Opi's Planks A lot with China Glaze Fairydust!
What do you guys think? I love how the 'dust' caused it to shimmer so much.
I shall try a galatical nail art to match with this new fabulous polish i bought!

Captain America

On my previous nail art post, i did a nail art on the US flag over here.
Today i'll be showing you a Captain America's Inspired nail art!

My main theme of the nails were Captain America, an idea my friend gave me.
I really loved the shield and so i decided that it would be a nail art about the shield and US flag.
Since the colours match each other.

I used the same colours i used for the US' Flag in the previous post here.
For the index and middle finger i just did a little bullseye kinda design on the nail with the shield's design.
For the ring finger i painted Dating a Royal by opi and added stars on it.
The babyfinger was more of the middle of the shield :)
And the thumb was the design from the previous post.

What do you guys think? :)
I really liked this design !
If you have any designs that you think i could try, feel free to comment or email me!
I need more ideas :)

4th Of July American Flag

This is my 2 weeks late 4th of July nail art.
Actually the 4th of July is United States Independence day.
I really love the color combination of red, white and blue.
I used Faceshop's White, OPI's Paint my moji toes red and Dating a Royal for the dark blue.
I just added some random stars on the blue portion.. However i'm unable to have too many cause my thumb is small. HAHA

No matter what, i still love the colour combinations.
What do you guys think?

My next nail art post will be on Captain America!
I can't wait to show you guys the design. I really LOVED IT!

Thanks for dropping by!

OPI - Romeo & Juliet

Today i used OPI's Romeo and Juliet. It seems to be abit darkbrownish redish bronze colour and it shimmers too.

It seems to be a dark brownish colour under normal light, and becomes abit reddish with flash.
I think the colour looks abit bronzy as well but i don't really like this as much as Can you Tapas This from OPI. The brown seems nicer than this brownish redish bronzy colour!

What do you guys think?
Thanks for reading ^^

Blue and green tape manicure

Hi everybodyyyy!!!
I just did this tape manicure and i think that i really love the colours.
I used Chinaglaze Flyin' High for the blue color and OPI's Don't mess with the opi for the green.

When i was thinking of what to do for this set of nails, i was actually thinking of doing the heartbeat machine whereby you'll see the person's heartbeat before the person dies and i tried to do it but decided it would look better like this.
I really love the end result and actually the blue is abit darker in real, compared to the one in the picture.
It must be the flash!!!

And i topped it off with Seche Vite Fast Drying top coat.
What do you think of it?

Thanks for dropping by :)

Pink union jack nail art

I remembered a few posts back i did a union jack nail art over here.
Now i did it with the Chinaglaze Something Sweet and OPI's Teenage dream.
I still think the navy one suits better.
Patriotic much!

Chinaglaze Something sweet with OPI Teenage Dream

Yesterday i painted Chinaglaze's Something sweet. Here
Today i placed a coat of OPI's teenage dream on top of it.
I was thinking, its extremely pinky and kinky and shiny.
I find it reminding of me of fairy princesses which i used to play when i was young !
No matter what, i love this color :)

Thanks for dropping by!
For problems regarding how to remove glitter polish easily, feel free to see my tutorial here.
Thank you!

Union Jack nail art

Remembered i painted OPI's Dating a Royal, so today i added a Union Jack Flag.
Like the one below.

I used white acrylic paint to paint the whites and red from Faceshop.
And i got the union jack flag on my middle finger ;)
I drew it freehand with a brush. I find it easier compared to a scotchtape cause u have to wait for it to fully dry and it will be a messy mess.

I hope you guys like it cause i really like it at my first attempt:)
YAY!
Thanks for reading ^^

Nail Tip of the Day #4 : Real or Fake OPI polishes?

There are many people saying this OPI is fake and that OPI is real but seriously, i find it very hard to differentiate cause many are saying many different things. So these are just my point of view. :)

1. Ensure that the font of your OPI NAIL LACQUER has the right font and is it aligned properly and not skewed.

2. The real OPI brush has an embossed logo on the top of the brush. You can try using tissue to dap it so as to see it.

3. The original OPI has the same serial code engraved on the top of the bottle, bottom of the bottle, painted in black and same code number on the sticker at the bottom of the polish bottle.

4. There is a peel off sign, and when you peel it, there is a list of ingredients. And on the other part of the sticker, the color name and code is printed. And you can never stick back the 'peel here' sticker.

5. There are 2 steel balls inside the polish bottle. More/less = fake!

6. The inside of the cap must be jagged, not smooth.

7. Many are saying that the warning symbols at the back must be 4 otherwise it is fake. But OPI has addressed the issue: "The number of symbols on bottles may vary due to regulation changes and does not mean that a bottle is fake if there are only 3 labels".

8. There is always the address of the OPI distribution center on the back of the nail polish. This address will be in the Netherlands.

I've found them for many sources online.
Pictures from Here and my own.
Hope this helps :)
